My search for a garden automation which costs almost nothing.Today my latest experiment was connected for a test run. I've removed the sand and gravel filter I tried last year. It was an interesting experiment, I got 4 weeks without watering, but I know more is possible. That's why this year a spin filter is going to do it's duty for the summer of 2017. My experiment thus far can be seen like this, My water comes completely from the rain, which is stored in a tank under ground and pumped once per day into an above ground tank where is slowly drips to each plant in the garden, approximately 30 total. The problem in the past is that the drippers, which are set so close to being closed that they easily clog when the water gets too dirty. I'm hoping that by making the water spin inside of a small tank, the fine dirt will be drawn to the bottom, while the clean water will exit at the top. I feel close to a solution this year, but work needs to be done in other areas to bring the cost down. I'm searching for a school which would like to try an experiment, or rather an entire series. I want to prove that through the recycling of plastic, you can feed a family, at almost no cost. Below find a few project areas which we'd like kids in schools to experiment with the sole purpose of searching for answers to the 17 SDGs. My garden aims specifically at Zero Hunger by 2030, but this is only a possibility while waiting for other groups to make themselves known. 3d printing to inexpensively create the parts others need. Plastic recycling to turn junk into usable parts or printer ribbon for printers. Actual gardening using my system with the intent to improve it by replacing parts with home made. My plan is very simple and can be found here: Appropedia! In addition to the plan, I've used the 2nd half of the page to begin a list of possible topics which need answers. Anyone is welcome to find a topic and begin work. We only ask that you talk about your project so others can join in. Our goal is to find synergies between groups through networked involvement. In a club you are never alone in your search, but you must begin soon. Every day that you wait millions of kids starve and suffer. The club can stop it, if only you'll prove that you are smart enough to experiment. The club is free, no fees, no signup and no obligations. To begin, just comment or send me an email and I'll begin letting others know. People call me an idealist, that this will never work because nobody cares. I don't believe it! I know some humans still exist and I know that I will reach them. I'm holding my light as high as I can, follow me toward the end of the tunnel. It only takes one step at a time, but if you don't begin no answers will ever be found. Please join us today and help us change the world!
