Year 2 in progress and looking goodLast year our garden was hurriedly put together since the OK to begin didn't arrive until shortly before summer vacation began, but this year things are progressing well.
We're still moving dirt, but planting has begun. My main purpose is to teach kids that vegetables don't grow in the grocery store and that a garden isn't only work, it can also be fun to produce all those vitamins. This year I have Heidi to help, this allows us to get more things done in a short time. It's progressing slowly, since the kids do all of the work they can handle, but it really is moving forward and we try to teach them about our environment while we work. I hope to have a few more pictures in the coming weeks, but here's a beginning. One of the 4th graders was nice enough to write a short report on his impressions, Thank you Nico, I'm happy you enjoyed yourself and that you understood the lesson. More to follow!
